I now own more oriental rugs than I have floorspace and love the way these are crisscross layered in a story from Elle Decor. I’ve yet to hang them on the wall, but mother did in our mid-century home when I was growing up and they looked great.
In a fit of madness 8 years ago we purchased an ivory wool rug to cover our 23 foot living room. One end of the room has stood up well but the opposite end where tv viewing and dog napping happens did not, which led to the purchase of area rugs to lay on top. I’m on the third iteration now, always thinking that another wool in monochromatic hues will work but then they’re too heavy and the vacuuming is a nightmare. I’ve been thinking oriental lately and this salts it. Thank you and wish me luck!
